We always cut bittersweet which is grown on our farm in Lexington Indiana, on Thursdays - Sundays,
Wreaths are shipped out Monday - Wednesday. This allows our customers to get the freshest and highest possible quality wreaths and swags.
Mingione's Country Cottage Home has been in the business of making finely handmade bittersweet wreaths and swags fresh from the garden for over 20 years.
Some of the wreaths and swags we have made for customers 10 years ago, are still hanging in their store windows today. Our secret to long lasting wreaths is simple. Cut and design wreaths fresh and ship them before the wreaths and swags dry out. Sure you will lose the outer hulls of the bittersweet, but the berries stay in tack. Best of all our berries have the brightest coloring of all we have seen, because of our Indiana soil and added lime.
